The aim of these two entities\u00a0 is to develop digital solutions that meet the needs of SMEs.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike large companies, many SMEs in the construction sector do not have IT departments. As a result, the transition to digitalization can be difficult. The Shoestring approach provides <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.mobilepunch.com\/en\/\">digital tools and solutions <\/a>for these small companies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What are the priorities of the Shoestring project?<\/h2>\n<p>According to Professor Duncan McFarlane, professor of industrial computer engineering at the University of Cambridge, the Shoestring project is a real asset for small businesses embarking on the <strong>process of exploring digital solutions.<\/strong> This approach has several priorities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Construction programming<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Process tracking<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Change management and reporting of potential problems from the design phase to construction operations<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Employee digital literacy<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The development of a schedule or work plan<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Project planning in 4D (3D rendering)<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Work instructions and digital assembly procedures<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Automated quality control<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Automated completeness check<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The project management system (monitoring the progress of the schedule, costs&#8230;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What are the different stages of this project?<\/h2>\n<p>The Shoestring project has three phases, the first of which is the organization of workshops to establish the list of the first ten beneficiary companies.
